World FairTrade Day - SIPA and it's producer members are celebrating
it as "World Fair Trade Fortnight" commencing from May 13 and
ending on May 27. The theme would be " FAIR TRADE
ORGANIZATIONS NOW". The inauguration will be held at SIPA's
Fair Trade Shoppe "Craft Link" at 70, Kodambakkam High Road,
Chennai on May 13 2006. The grand finale with the
participation from all producer members is scheduled on May 27
2006 at Anna Institute of management Auditorium, Greenways
Road, Chennai.
The village level programs from May 14 to 26 2006 will include
innovative communication techniques like Street Play, Villupattu etc to spread the message of "FAIR TRADE". The
marginalized artisans will be honored during the functions and
artisan welfare measures like medical check-up, artisan cards,
group insurance schemes etc will also be introduced as part of
the celebrations. The date wise program celebrations would be
